Registration Volunteers Needed
Want to meet everyone in the OMRRA community and learn how the club works? Here’s your chance. All racers, volunteers and vendors need to flow through our registration process.
OMRRA’s at-track registration team handles all race entries, class changes, grid arrangement, race licenses, gate fees plus smoothing out that data to lets us race. Registration is a busy place and we’re looking for a few key people to join the team. If we do this right, we’ll have a group of 5 or more capable team members, each putting in a few hours or more weekend.
Friendliness, attention to details, note taking and a calm approach are the most important parts of the job. Just like the racers, the speed comes with a little practice. Some excitement about motorcycle racing is very helpful, but it’s the racer’s responsibility to know what classes they need. After a few weekends you’ll know where all of the bike types fit. Basic computer capability is a must, if you can use a web browser comfortably, that’s probably enough to get started with us.
Registration team hours each race weekend are:
Friday evening 5:15pm - 7:00pm
Saturday 7:00am to 4:30pm
Sunday 7:00am to 4:30pm
Friday evenings and Saturday mornings are super busy. Afternoons are lighter and good for additional training on the system.
If you’re interested and willing to volunteer for at least a 3-4 hour block of time each weekend, we’d love to talk to you. Given the nature of the work, we’ll need to do a little training with you up front.
